NCAA Selections

Miami Hurricanes (-17.5) over Virginia Tech Hokies – Miami won, barely, by four points, 38-34. Result: Lost

Nebraska Cornhuskers (-10.5) over Purdue Boilermakers – Nebraska covered with a huge 2nd half, winning by 18 points, 28-10. Result: WON!

USC Trojans (-14.5) over Wisconsin Badgers – USC was down 21-10 at halftime, but scored 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half to oust Wisky by 17 points, 38-21. Result: WON!

Washington State Cougars (+7.5) over Boise State Broncos – Gary was shocked by Boise State’s performance. They dominated the game, winning 45-24. Result: Lost

Oregon Ducks (-24.5) over UCLA Bruins – The Ducks only won by 21 points, very disappointing to Gary that Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel threw a pick 6 to former Duck Bryan Addison, who returned an interception 96 yards at the end of the 1st half. This was kind of a “Bad Beat” as it were, since that was a crazy 7, 10, or 14 point swing. Result: Lost

LOCK OF THE WEEK: Alabama Crimson Tide (+2.5) over Georgia Bulldogs – Sure enough, the Crimson Tide won the game S/U, much less ATS by beating the ‘Dawgs by seven points, 41-34. An amazing game! Result: WON!

“Gary’s Pick 6” NFL Selections

N.Y. Jets (-7.5) over Denver Broncos – The Jets couldn’t get out of their own way last week in NYC’s horrible weather, losing 10-9. I enjoyed Aaron Rodgers’ postgame statement: “The weather sucked, but so did some of my throws”. Result: Lost

Cincinnati Bengals (-4) over Carolina Panthers – The Bengals won by ten points, 34-24. Result: WON!

Chicago Bears (-3) over Los Angeles Rams – Chicago put some offense on the board for the first time, winning by six points, 24-18. Result: WON!

Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) over New Orleans Saints – Atlanta won by two points, 26-24. The hook did in Gary. The darn hook! Result: Lost

Los Angeles Chargers (+7.5) over Kansas City Chiefs – KC won by seven points, 17-10. The hook rewarded Gary. The blessed hook! Result: WON!

Detroit Lions (-3.5) over Seattle Seahawks – The Lions won by 13 points, 42-29. Result: WON!
