Prediction:

Pittsburgh has won 19 straight home Monday Night Football games since 1991. How’s that for a stat? We think the Steelers will make it 20. The Bears just aren’t a very good team right now. Breaking news, right? With OLB #52 Khalil Mack out, along with FS #4 Eddie Jackson, the Bears defense won’t be able to create much havoc against Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense. On the other side of the ball, Coach Matt Nagy and the offense probably won’t be able to move the ball and score many points either. When you play a rookie QB like the Bears are with Justin Fields, you’re basically telling your team and the entire world, “We’re probably not going to be able to fully compete right now, but we’re doing this to develop our young leader and hope that it leads somewhere down the line, like a playoff caliber offense next year or even a couple/few years from now.”

So why would we expect the Bears to compete at Pittsburgh tonight? Well honestly, we don’t. Chicago doesn’t have much going for itself right now, other than the return of RB #32 David Montgomery and ILB #58 Roquan Smith. If the Bears were serious about winning in 2021, they would have continued playing QB #14 Andy Dalton when he was healthy. Instead, Coach Nagy and the Bears are hoping, rather than fully investing in winning now.

It all adds up to a miserable season for the Bears. The misery continues tonight for the entire nation to see on MNF. The Steelers are favored by 7 points. PICK: Pittsburgh to cover the points at home
