Super Bowl LVI (56) – February 13, 2022 – SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA

Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will be the second consecutive team to appear in a Super Bowl in their home stadium. However, this will be the first time in which the home team will actually have a full crowd of fans. Last year the Buccaneers won at home in Tampa but because of COVID restrictions, there were only about 25,000 fans in attendance at Raymond James Stadium. Can the Rams win the Championship in their new home? Can the Bills finally get over the hump and win their first Super Bowl after infamously losing four in a row with Jim Kelly, Marv Levy, and Bruce Smith in the early 1990s?

Despite our preseason prediction in the Pro Football Spectacular, we’re switching gears and picking the Buffalo Bills to win it all. According to Troy Aikman’s Efficiency Ratings (AER) Buffalo ranked 1st in defense this year. They ranked 2nd on offense. (The Rams are 7th and 11th, consecutively.) According to Football Outsiders, Buffalo ranks 2nd overall, 10th on offense, and 1st on defense. (The Rams were 5th, 8th, and 5th.) According to Team Rankings, Buffalo ranks 1st overall. (The Rams are 7th.) As you can see, the Bills are simply the best. It’s time for Buffalo to erase all the demons. As for the Bills Mafia… I’m ecstatic for them. This is their year.

PICK: Buffalo Bills 31, Los Angeles Rams 21 (MVP: Josh Allen/QB/Buffalo)
