Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-11.5) over Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Final Score: Notre Dame won by 18 points, 31-13. Result: WON!
Nebraska Cornhuskers (+6.5) over Indiana Hoosiers – Indiana is the real deal, and Neb played like garbage. IU destroyed Nebraska 56-7. Result: Lost
James Madison Dukes (-9.5) over Georgia Southern Eagles – James Madison lost as a big-ish favorite. Final Score: Georgia Southern 28-14. Result: Lost
Texas Tech Red Raiders (-6.5) over Baylor Bears – Baylor destroyed T-Tech 59-35. Result: Lost
SMU Mustangs (-14.5) over Stanford Cardinal – SMU destroyed Stanford by 30 points, 40-10. Result: WON!
Tennessee Volunteers (+2.5) over Alabama Crimson Tide – Tennessee indeed upset Alabama, as predicted, 24-17. Result: WON!
Gary’s “Pick 6” NFL Selections
Detroit Lions (+2.5) over Minnesota Vikings – Detroit beat Minnesota at Minnesota, 31-29. Result: WON!
Houston Texans (+2.5) over Green Bay Packers – The Packers won, but only by two points, 24-22. The hook giveth…. Result: WON!
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) over N.Y. Giants – Philadelphia won easy, 28-3. Result: WON!
N.Y. Jets (+1.5) over Pittsburgh Steelers – The Steel Men won this in convincing fashion, 37-15. Result: Lost
San Francisco 49ers (-1) over Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs won by ten on the road (28-18), even though they struggled on offense once again. Result: Lost
Buffalo Bills (-8) over Tennessee Titans – Buffalo won by 24 points, 34-10. Result: WON!

Oklahoma Sooners (+19.5) over Ole Miss Rebels – Gary knows that OU has been playing poorly lately, but he thinks that era is over. Previous starting QB Jackson Arnold is back and the Sooners defense remains stout. Here’s thinking Oklahoma will hang with Ole Miss. PICK: Oklahoma
Indiana Hoosiers (-6.5) over Washington Huskies – Despite starting QB Kurtis Rourke being out with a thumb, the backup has experience and Indiana doesn’t let up. Coach Cignetti has this bunch rolling and we heard ESPN’s GameDay is in town. PICK: Indiana
Alabama Crimson Tide (-13.5) over Missouri Tigers – Mizzou has injuries. ‘Bama isn’t as bad as we’ve seen. Gary expects a rebound for the Tide. PICK: Alabama
Texas Longhorns (-18.5) over Vanderbilt Commodores – Texas played poorly in their huge game vs Georgia. Coach Sark will get on their asses in practice. Plus, they’re not going to overlook Vandy after that huge upset of ‘Bama a few weeks ago. PICK: Texas
LSU Tigers (+3.5) over Texas A&M Aggies – This SEC rivalry seems to be an underrated one. Remember that time they played about seven overtimes? LSU is really good and getting points. PICK: LSU
Arizona Wildcats (-3) over West Virginia Mountaineers – Both Arizona and West Virginia have been disappointing lately. We expect ‘Zona to improve on offense, committing less turnovers. Meanwhile, WVU has a possible quarterback injury with Garrett Greene listed as “Questionable”. ‘Zona is home. PICK: Arizona
Gary’s “Pick 6” NFL Selections
Game of the Week: Sunday Night Football – Dallas Cowboys (+4.5) over San Francisco 49ers – Both of these teams have had disappointing starts to 2024, including plenty of injuries which have greatly contributed to their records (DAL 3-3, SF 3-4). San Fran just lost their WR’s last week to knees and lungs (Aiyuk’s ACL & Deebo’s pneumonia). Meanwhile, the Cowboys had a bye week to heal and figure out their piss-poor play as of late. PICK: Dallas
New Orleans Saints (+7.5) over Los Angeles Chargers – Gary is taking all underdogs this week, except for one. The Saints are getting over a touchdown. PICK: New Orleans
N.Y. Jets (-7) over New England Patriots – As mentioned above, “The Gut” picked all ‘dogs this week except for some reason he went with the favorite New York Football Jets. Gary keeps betting on New York. Why? He’s a punk, that’s why. Only he knows. PICK: N.Y. Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars (+4) over Green Bay Packers
Las Vegas Raiders (+10) over Kansas City Chiefs – “The Gut” thinks KC is overrated. Getting ten points AT HOME is inconceivable. Marc Lawrence disagreed. In his “Playbook” preseason magazine, he said “Play against Vegas vs Kansas City on October 27. This made Gary mad. Mr. Goombah is thinking about starting a fight with Mr. Lawrence. “Go away Marc, and take your cover pic of boogery Andy Reid with you.” – Gary on Friday afternoon PICK: Las Vegas
Tennessee Titans (+11.5) over Detroit Lions – Some huge spreads this weekend. Gary just can’t get over the 11 points given to Tennessee. PICK: Tennessee
