Nebraska Cornhuskers (+6.5) over USC Trojans – We enjoyed a tremendous weekend in Lincoln visiting our son. The “Blackout” game was better than advertised, one of the best atmospheres of any game I’ve ever attended. Goosebumps. Unfortunately, SC won the game after Dylan Raiola broke his leg early in the 3rd quarter. However, Neb covered the spread. Result: WON!

NCAA Selections – all odds taken from Saturday’s Chicago Sun-Times
Arizona Wildcats (-5.5) over Kansas Jayhawks – This would be a great basketball matchup. ‘Zona big over Kansas in this football game. PICK: Arizona
Oregon Ducks (-6.5) over Iowa Hawkeyes
Nebraska Cornhuskers (+1.5) over UCLA Bruins – As a big Neb fan, I know how the ‘Huskers feel about being an underdog in this one. It’s a slap in the face! Nebraska is 6-3 while UCLA is 3-5. Sure, Gary knows that QB Dylan Raiola is out with a broken leg, but new starting QB T.J. Lateef is totally capable, and overall, the Huskers are way more talented than the Bruins. Plus, from the pages of Marc Lawrence’s 2025 Playbook, UCLA is only 1-9 in their last ten games vs a winning opponent with revenge (UCLA beat Nebraska last year 27-20). PICK: Nebraska
Vanderbilt Commodores (-6.5) over Auburn Tigers – Vandy will rebound after last week’s loss at Texas. PICK: Vanderbilt
Indiana Hoosiers (-14.5) over Penn St. Nittany Lions
Kentucky Wildcats (+3.5) over Florida Gators
Game of the Week: BYU Cougars (+10.5) over Texas Tech Red Raiders – This is the biggest Big 12 game in years. Gary is entirely shocked that the point spread is this wide. He thinks Brigham Young will cover this easily, if not win the game straight up. PICK: BYU

Chicago Bears (-4.5) over New York Giants – Bears are hot, winning five of their last six games. Looks promising for another victory, this week at Soldier Field over a struggling Giants squad. PICK: Chicago
