Week 10 Recap

The first week of November didn’t go so hot for Gary “The Gut”. In fact, it was sub .500. I know…. BELOW average. That stinks, more than garbage, like the trash in the 1990 film “Men At Work”, starring Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen. Man, those goofy garbagemen could really hit the one liners. Anyway, can Gary get back on top, or at least above average?

Miami Hurricanes (-11.5) over Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Remember how GTech stunned Miami last year in a last second breathtaker? “The Gut” feels that Cam Ward and the ‘Canes will be out for revenge. PICK: Miami

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (-18.5) over New Mexico State Aggies – This matchup is a mismatch. WKU is 6-2, while New Mexico St. is 2-6. Is 18.5 points enough? Gary doesn’t think so. PICK: WKU

Texas Tech Red Raiders (+3.5) over Colorado Buffaloes – We see a super fired up Red Raiders squad taking it to Coach Deion Sanders and his Buffs. Watch out for RB Tahj Brooks to control the tempo with his tough ground game. PICK: Texas Tech

West Virginia Mountaineers (+4.5) over Cincinnati Bearcats

Indiana Hoosiers (-13.5) over Michigan Wolverines – Michigan can’t hang with these Hoosiers, quite frankly. Michigan is just not that good this year. Indiana…. IS! PICK: Indiana

BONUS PICK! * Georgia Bulldogs (-2.5) * over Ole Miss Rebels – It’s almost a slap in the face to favor UGA by only 2.5 points. We know Mississippi is good, but this is still Georgia. Carson Beck needs to figure it out again. Gary thinks he will this Saturday. PICK: Georgia

Gary’s “Pick 6” NFL Selections

Chicago Bears (-6) over New England Patriots – The Bears are miserable lately, since the Hail Mary. After the two game road streak that featured two miserable losses, the Bears return to Chicago and should handle the Patriots. PICK: Chicago

Buffalo Bills (-4) over Indianapolis Colts – The Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL, and the Colts are just average. Gary thinks Buffalo wins this one solidly. PICK: Buffalo

Pittsburgh Steelers (+2.5) over Washington Commanders – Pitt is playing well, winning three straight, two since Russell Wilson started at quarterback in place of Justin Fields. The Redskins/Football Team/Commanders are 7-2, but they aren’t that good. Remember one of those victories was the Hail Mary. PICK: Pittsburgh

Dallas Cowboys (+7) over Philadelphia Eagles – The Cowboys just can’t be this bad, right? PICK: Dallas

Minnesota Vikings (-5) over Jacksonville Jaguars – Gary’s gut tells him that Jags QB Trevor Lawrence won’t play on Sunday. PICK: Minnesota

San Francisco 49ers (-6) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers – San Fran is coming off a BYE week, while Tampa has a short week of prep after losing on Monday Night. The ‘Niners are 4-1 S/U, 3-2 ATS over the last five years after their bye. PICK: San Francisco

Gary needs a big weekend, what with last week’s disastrous performance causing him headaches and stomach aches. All the pain-in-the-butt, money-grubbing land-lubbers, vying for “winning” bets can be a pain in the neck for guys like Gary, who “live to tell” via rough experience, both winning and losing.
