Gary “The Gut” Goombah : Week 5 + Gary’s LOCK OF THE YEAR!

Gary “The Gut” Goombah : Week 5 including Gary’s LOCK OF THE YEAR!

You read that correctly. Gary “The Gut” will not only give you his usual five college football selections this week, but he’ll add one guarantee. It’s Gary’s LOCK OF THE YEAR!

Do you want to 1-800 number or do you want to just continue reading? It’s your choice. It’s like a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book. CALL 1-800-GO-WAGER or continue reading for Gary’s LOCK OF THE YEAR.

But first, let’s recap Gary’s Week 4 Selections:

Iowa St. logo Iowa St. Cyclones (-18.5) over Akron Zips – They should easily handle the Zips on Saturday. PICK: Iowa St. ……FINAL SCORE: Iowa St. 26 Akron 13……..A 13 point victory = LOSS.

West Virginia Logo West Virginia Mountaineers (-16) over Kansas St. Wildcats – 16 points? No sweat when you have a passing game as dominant as WVU’s. PICK: West Virginia…….FINAL SCORE: West Virginia 35 Kansas St. 6………A 29 point victory = BIG WIN!

Georgia Bulldog logo Georgia Bulldogs (-14.5) over Missouri Tigers – UGA is a premier team. Mizzou is a pretender. PICK: Georgia……..FINAL SCORE: Georgia 43 Missouri 29……A 14 point victory = A “Heartbreak by the Hook” LOSS.

Iowa Hawkeyes logo Iowa Hawkeyes (+3) over Wisconsin Badgers – Gary is taking the Hawks in an upset. PICK: Iowa……FINAL SCORE: Wisconsin 28 Iowa 17…….Iowa HAD this one, until a few minutes left in the game. Wisky scored two late TD’s to beat the Hawkeyes………Tough LOSS.

Nebraska Logo8 Game of the Week : Nebraska Cornhuskers (+17) over Michigan Wolverines – PICK: Nebraska……. FINAL SCORE: Michigan 56 Nebraska 10…….UGH! It was hard for me to even type those numbers = GIGANTIC LOSS.

Season Totals:

  • Week 1 : 1-4
  • Week 2 : 2-3
  • Week 3 : 2-3
  • Week 4 : 1-4
  • TOTALS: 6-14

Week 5 NCAA Selections (All selections are ATS. Point spreads are from Friday’s Chicago Tribune.)

West Virginia Logo West Virginia Mountaineers (-3.5) over Texas Tech Red Raiders – This should be a high-scoring affair. Gary’s going with the hot hand, the Mountaineers. It’s been a tough start to ’18 for Gary, but he’s loyal to winning. PICK: West Virginia

LSU Logo LSU Tigers (-11) over Mississippi Rebels – The Tigers are rolling. Ole Miss gave up 41 points to Southern Illinois. Geaux Tigers! PICK: LSU

Oregon Logo Oregon Ducks (-3) over California Bears – Gary has little to write about in this one. He thinks the Ducks are good and the Bears aren’t. PICK: Oregon

Texas A&M Logo Texas A&M Aggies (-21) over Arkansas Razorbacks – Gary trusts in Jimbo Fisher. Jimbo doesn’t let up. It’s not in his nature. He is really turning A&M into a big winner early in his coaching tenure. Sure A&M has 2 losses, but look who beat them: Clemson & Alabama. Meanwhile, Arkansas stinks like that skunk who scurries around under your deck. Shut the windows on skunks….and Razorbacks. PICK: Texas A&M

Penn State logo2 Penn St. Nittany Lions (+3) over Ohio St. Buckeyes – Two words: WHITE OUT! PICK: Penn St.

And now………

GARY’S 2018 LOCK OF THE YEAR! (At least until next week)

Michigan Wolverines Logo Michigan Wolverines (-14.5) over Northwestern Wildcats – Gary picked against the Wolves last week and they made him look silly, with a 46 point domination in a game they were favored by 17 points. This week they play a lousy, over-hyped Northwestern team with injuries galore. In case you hadn’t heard, the Wildcats best player RB Jeremy Larkin retired this week due to a devastating spinal injury that doctors said could paralyze him if he kept playing tackle football. (No word on if the doctors graduated from the Michigan Med program.) Anyway, Gary would’ve picked Michigan EVEN IF Larkin was healthy. In fact, Gary is so confident he will even sell more points to bettors if they negotiated fairly. “The Gut” thinks Michigan will win by at least 20 points and probably more. PICK: Michigan

That’s it for Gary! And Remember……Bet big and bet often.
